ONE MORE! ONE MORE!!!!

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!! This one too!!!!! Neon Indian's back!! NOW it is goodnight ya'll!!!!!

Goodnight, ya'll!

Can't get tired of this album... Father John Misty(fied me). And a goodnight to ya'll!

Lovely brand new stuff from this bunch. It comes in a pack of two, Smile first, then Distortion. Rock n'roll first, then distort with some ethereal sounds, languid drifting guitars, and a befiting vocalization.Stuff dreams are made of. Smiles and distortions. And smiles. And tears. And all in between. From their "Plastic People" EP.

Pshychotic, beautiful, beat/sound/synth/beat. To listen in the sunset, eyes set on the horizon.

Jim is back.

1999. I remember it so well, so fondly, when i first snatched "Eureka" from a store, and listened to it. It was love at first...earing. Sounded strangely odd, sounded different, sounded good. Blissfuly good. "Yeah, this guy is alright", i thought. And he was. And now, he is again. He's back. Jim O'Rourke is back in all his singular, melancholic, glory. It's good to have you back, Jim. It's great. "All Your Love" is all we could ever need.

Lower, upper, bummer.

New album from Lower Dens. If I already love them, this song is really putting me out there. Ondine is a master crafted thing. Listen, feel, love. And Escape From Evil.

Song for today II

I've heard this song, for the first time, through a friend, by the time the album got out. Some years ago. And it's been too long, far too long since i've last played it (out loud) here, at home. Far to long. The song it's wonderfuly crafted, with a gentle guitar inviting in, a bass drum setting the insolent rythm. The synths fill up the sound, and you're done. You're hooked. The voice of Catherine McCandless (what voice...) lifts us up and spins us round. But what makes it absolutely perfect are the tremendous lyrics. Absolutely feet-sweeping stuff. Maybe we have everything. Maybe we don't. Maybe we did. Maybe we will.

Song for today

This girl and boy are absolutely amazing. The feeling i get is that they are mirrorballing they're way through. They beat us up inside, tear our insides apart, and leave us with an ethereal sensation that stays in. Well, on what's left of us. Kudos to these brave two. Keep on. Please.

Riot Horse Girls

Remember Chan Marshall? Yep, Cat Power. If you don't (i curse you to hell, then), then this song will, most surely, make you go there again. This song is not new new, as in "yes it came out today on the 7th March 2015", it's a couple weeks old (but then again, i started this blog to play new and old music - so, it fits, eitherway). But i came across it today, so i guess it's new. For me. Vocally driven, with a humdrumming drum on the background, a bass that helps set the temperature, and a guitar that throughout the song, tries to sing aswell, this is a perfect song to just stare at the ocean.

Amarachi

A neat neat delicious track from Amarachi. I've been introduced to this kind of sound only a few months/years ago. It has grown in me. And i thank who showed me this path. Whatever sort of art, you should never be jammed against two tall walls. You can neither turn around, nor you can look up. This is a vocal masterpiece. And a heart-warming, soulful melody. Pure pleasure.

Did you know you're the echo in my mind?

Not one of my favorite bands. Don't really quite know why, but their sound never convinced me. Maybe that's about to change. These two songs feel just like summer. Feels just like everything will be ok. Or not. But hey, life sucks and then you die, right? The first is their latest video, out today. The other is earlier, but another mind-blower. Both from their latest album, The Scene Between. Yep, i'm about to change my view on this bunch. Maybe even fall in love.

Things to ear and love

Groovy and lovable stuff here, from Garden City Movement. These songs are from their latest EP, the third, Modern West, Enjoy. I did. More here.
